Summer is fast approaching! The Washington County Museum has two great
summer opportunities for teens I would like to share.
*Summer Teen Volunteer Program* Teens are invited to apply to be summer
interpreters! The Museum will provide customer service and content
training, and teens will have a chance to assist with our summer programs
for children and the community. This is a chance to complete service hours
and build resumes! Upon successfully completing 40 hours of service this
summer, the Museum will provide teens with a certificate of participation
and a letter of recommendation. More information can be found at: *
http://www.washingtoncountymuseum.org/teenvolunteer*
*STEM Leadership Academy for Girls* High school girls are invited to sign
up for a girls only underwater robotics camp this summer that will
incorporate National Science Foundation curriculum, team building skills,
leadership skills and a chance to meet female engineers in our community.
The camp is June 17th-21st. Girls who complete the camp will be welcomed
back as helpers for a middle school camp in August. More information can be
found at: *http://www.washingtoncountymuseum.org/stem*
If you are able to spread the word electronically, we would appreciate it.
Thanks for your help.
Best, Beth
